I Kissed a Vampire coming to DVD
Be the Bite!
I Kissed a Vampire, the vampire rock musical series that premiered on iTunes a few years ago and became a hit, has been made into a full-length movie. The film will appear on select screens in theatres this Friday (March 30th), before it’s released on DVD this summer (July 10th).
Starring Lucas Grabeel (from High School Musical) and Drew Seeley, I Kissed a Vampire is a cross between Glee (and High School Musical) and Twilight, but with a fangs. Lucas plays a young man who’s become a vampire, and Drew is mentoring him in his new life, and Lucas is in love with the girl next door, except he’s now all worried because he’s a vampire. Only it’s done with a lot of singing.
I’d point you to the original videos on iTunes but they have magically disappeared, probably to do with the pending DVD release. The movie is reportedly around 90 minutes long and the album is already available on iTunes.
“High School Musical alumni Lucas Grabeel and Drew Seeley and newcomer Adrian Slade star in this musical look at the torment of falling in love when you’re in the middle of becoming a vampire.
Haunted by bizarre dreams about Goth rocker Trey Sylvania (Drew), and experiencing a growing lust for blood, Dylan (Lucas), a not-so-average teenager finds himself transforming into a vampire! It all started when he was bitten by a voracious fanged exchange student, and it’s a process he is desperate to stop – but how? His demented dentist can’t do anything about Dylan’s aching teeth and emerging fangs, and the anti-bloodsucking pills he gets from his para-psychologist just give him a rash. Dylan is terrified and he doesn’t know what to do – especially about his beautiful girlfriend Sara (Adrian).”
